INAF-SUP (scientific users platform based on INAF data) is dedicated to accessing data, analysis, visualization, sharing and above all reproducibility. It will provide remote computational environments with focus on the duplicability of scientific results, obtained through an adequate versioning system of both code and data. Based on the available data levels, accredited users will be able to perform large queries on astrophysics databases and online analysis. The INAF-SUP architecture will be based on virtualization and containerization technologies (docker / apptainer) and will provide working environments such as UNIX-like shells and jupyter notebooks. The first use cases for the release of INAF-SUP will focus on ground-based gamma-ray facilities (ASTRI, MAGIC, CTA-LST, CTA-SST).

The budget dedicated to the hardware is around 10% of the total. In this way, we can cover other expenses needed for a grant, networking activities and for a supplier of IT services. The latter will be selected to work on the General User Interface (GUI), which requires skills generally not present in research institutions and hard to become subject for a research grant. Anyway, the external supply for the GUI will be discussed by the core technical team at the beginning of the project, and the first wireframes and skeletons for the web dashboard will be made by the internal team on its own in order to guide the backend design.
