The origin of cosmic magnetism is one of the great unsolved questions of
cosmology and the hypothesis of a possible origin in the early Universe
is increasingly favored by the data. The existence of primordial
magnetic fields implies the unequivocal proof of violations of the
standard model of fundamental physics and represents a
formidable probe. For years INAF has been internationally renowned in the study of primordial magnetic fields and their
synergies with the CMB and LSS and connection with cosmic magnetism. The Good OMENS represents the
activities in this field in preparation for future experiments which,
with their precision, will allow over the next 10 years to resolve the
question of the primordial origin of cosmic magnetism.
