Per promuovere lo sviluppo della conoscenza
astronomica nella scuola e nella società e per rispondere alla crescente richiesta di
informazioni e approfondimenti su temi di astronomia e astrofisica, l’INAF-OAPa
da oltre un ventennio è impegnato in programmi di comunicazione, divulgazione e
didattica della scienza, che comprendono attività presso l’Osservatorio
Astronomico, al Museo della Specola, presso i Laboratori XACT, LIFE e Microtecnologie INAF OAPa,
online, nelle scuole e in altre sedi.

In order to
promote the development of astronomical knowledge in schools and society and to
answer to the growing demand for information and insights on topics of
astronomy and astrophysics, INAF-OAPa has been involved in science
communication, outreach and education programs for over twenty years.
Activities are carried on at the Astronomical Observatory, at the Specula Museum, at the XACT, LIFE
and INAF OAPa Microtechnology Laboratories, in schools and other locations.

21. Fondi a Sostegno Iniziativa

L'attività di Public Engagement puo' contare su alcuni fondi dell'Ufficio Comunicazione di Presidenza per progetti specifici, su fondi legati a progetti MUR (legge 6/2000), qualche finanziamento da parte dell'Università di Palermo e fondi di progetti con le scuole o assegnate dalla Direzione su specifica richiesta per attività di rilievo. Anche attività legate a PRIN o ad altri progetti contribuiscono a supportare parzialmente il servizio. Non è qui possibile determinare quanta parte di progetti nazionali si possa ritenere di pertinenza del servizio, in quanto è già stata dichiarata negli altri progetti. Nel 2023 la DS ha dato un contributo di eu. 7.500 per organizzazione di mostre de eventi per la manifestazioen Esperienza inSegna 2023 (ma sono arrivati dopo la presentazione delle schede)
