Da circa trent'anni il gruppo LAB Rivelatori, ha promosso e sviluppato una ricerca applicata nel settore dei sensori a stato solido per applicazioni astrofisiche ed ha stabilito un'esperienza pluriennale nella caratterizzazione di sensori elettro-ottici come CCD (Charge Coupled Devices), IAPS (Intensified Active Pixel Sensor), SPAD (Single Photon Avalanche Diode), SiPM (Silicon PhotonMultiplier) e nella progettazione di sistemi di controllo correlati.

Il gruppo è coinvolto in attività di innovazione tecnologica nei settori della microelettronica e delle nano tecnologie ed ha varie collaborazioni in tutto il mondo con laboratori e aziende produttrici di rivelatori sia per applicazioni scientifiche che per "life science". Caratterizzazione di rivelatori ed elettronica sono i punti di forza.

Since thirty years the Lab Rivelatori group has promoted and developed applied research in the fieldof solid-state sensors for astrophysical applications and has established long-term experience in the characterization of electro-optical sensors such as CCD (Charge Coupled Devices), IAPS (Intensified Active Pixel Sensor), SPAD (Single Photon Avalanche Diode), SiPM (Silicon PhotonMultiplier) and in the design of related control systems. The group is involved in technological innovation activities in the fields of microelectronics and nano technologies and has various collaborations all over the world with laboratories and manufacturers of detectors for both scientific and "life science" applications. Detectors and electronics (i. e.photon counting systems) are the laboratory strengths.

Questo comportare lo sviluppo di rivelatori per esperimenti di laboratorio, per misurazioni in situ o per l'uso in applicazioni industriali.</p></li></ol>

21. Fondi a Sostegno Iniziativa

Il Lab Rivelatori nel suo passato ha trovato finanziamenti in progetti locali, nazionali e internazionali e tutt'oggi, grazie a fondi residui, sta assumendo un rinnovo sia nella gestione che nell'upgrade strumentale. Ad oggi i fondi certi hanno un'unica sorgente ma il coinvolgimento in imminenti progetti potrebbe garantire un supporto finanziario per i prossimi anni.
