This project aims at determining the morphology and physical nature of radio emission in
RQ quasars. Our objective is to assess the prevalence of radio emission attributed to jets,
star formation, or outflow-driven shocks within quasars. Combined with the multi-phase gas
observations (employing multiple telescopes) from our QSO samples, we want to establish
the relevance of radio jets to quasar feedback as the driver mechanism of gas outflows.

The Italian astronomical community has committed significant resources to the development of ground-based and space observatories. Our research makes extensive use of state-of-the-art technologies, most of which are fully developed in Europe. Moreover, this project exploits and produces preparatory science for facilities in which INAF has a leading role, such as the European VLBI, LOFAR, the Square Kilometer Array (SKA) and its precursors, Theseus and Athena. These projects are involving several industries in the process of developing/building/testing new technologies, thus boosting several of the Italian industrial capabilities in key enabling technologies.
