L'attività e' incentrata sullo sviluppo di moduli software e sulla messa a punto di banchi di test per il collaudo di dispositivi hardware (attuatori, motori, I/O ecc.) per strumenti di ottica adattiva. Lo sviluppo si basa sul framework VLT/ELT e sulle librerie ESO per l'interfacciamento PLC. Questa tecnologia consente di gestire componenti hardware collegati tramite fieldbus (i.e. Ethercat) e controllati da un dispositivo master PLC (i.e. Beckhoff). L'attività principale e' l' implementazione e test di laboratorio del codice PLC per la personalizzazione delle librerie SW ESO e di dispositivi standard e l'implementazione di nuovi dispositivi speciali che possano adattarsi a diversi requisiti progettuali. Questa attività e' applicata a diversi progetti ESO: ERIS, MORFEO, MAVIS, ANDES.
The activity is centered on the development of software modules and on the setup of laboratory benches for the testing of a multiplicity of hardware devices (actuators, motors, I/O etc.) required by adaptive optics instruments. The development is based on the VLT/ELT software framework and ESO libraries for PLC interfacing. This technology allows managing hardware components connected via a fieldbus (i.e. Ethercat) and controlled by a PLC master device (i.e. Beckhoff). The main activity is the implementation of PLC code and test benches for customization of SW ESO libraries and standard devices and the implementation of new SW special devices which can adapt to different project requirements. This activity is applied to different ESO projects: ERIS, MORFEO, MAVIS, ANDES.
